Slough U3A Newsletter, September 2020

The U3A movement has been given an opportunity to respond to a House of Lords Inquiry titled “Life beyond COVID”. They are inviting people to share their hopes and fears about what the pandemic might mean in the long-term for our home and working lives, and for how we function as a society. Please click here to add your thoughts – Third Age Trust will collate the answers and submit them to the inquiry.

U3A Groups

Some of the U3A activity groups have been meeting outdoors during the summer. With colder weather approaching, we are looking into moving them to indoor locations which qualify as “COVID-Secure” following government guidelines. However, some groups have expressed a preference to continue meeting via the internet. Please check our website – for the latest news.

If you’d like to join one of these groups, or to find out more about any of them, email or phone Bob on 07903 021 711.

On 3 September, a group from Slough U3A visited “St Timothee”, a garden in Maidenhead which is open to visitors under the auspices of the National Garden Scheme.
A serenade of Ukuleles!
