Newsletter, December 2020

You’ve probably already heard that the NHS has started a COVID vaccination program, with older people being given priority. Our understanding at the moment is that the program will be coordinated by GP practices. Please don’t call them – they will call you! If, in the next few weeks, your GP practice invites you to come for vaccination, please grab the opportunity with both hands! Every little step in the right direction makes it more likely that we can see relatives and friends – and each other – in 2021.

Slough Borough Council have produced a leaflet explaining the special rules for Christmas gatherings – click here.

The U3A Committee – Bob, Beverley, Tracy, Eleanor, Richard, Christine and Viju – would like to take this opportunity to wish you a happy Christmas and a joyful 2021.

It’s been a long time since we were able to gather U3A members together in one place – and a difficult time for many of us. Let’s hope for a return to normal in a few months’ time.

If you will be on your own this Christmas and you would like someone to talk to – please contact us on 07903 021 711 or and we’ll arrange something.

On a lighter note – if you are in the habit of leaving a little drink out for Santa on Christmas Eve, please remember that this year it must be accompanied by a substantial meal.

We would like to include a coronavirus joke here, but you’d have to wait two weeks to see if you got it.
