Keep the Date – we’re planning a coach trip to Eastbourne on Friday 7th July. We’ll circulate full details in a couple of weeks.
Monthly General Meeting – May 2023
Our next General Meetings is on Wed 17th May, with a talk on Travels in Nepal and Bhutan by David Nicholson.

David says: “This presentation outlines the holiday my wife and I had to the incredible Himalayan countries of Nepal and Bhutan. Illustrated with my own photographs the beautifully decorated of the Bhutanese buildings and the mysterious religious sites are always incredibly alluring. The holiday was rounded up with a wonderful few days viewing the wildlife of Nepal in their national park of Chitwan”.
“I am now retired and had a very varied work life. I started out commissioned in the Royal Marines. Following this I moved into various sales jobs, usually selling capital equipment with some well known companies. For the last 25 years I worked in the financial services sector ending my career as an IFA. I am married, for the second time, to Barbara who is now chairman of Woking U3A. I currently run the Military History Group for my U3A – K2 Spelthorne.”
Our General Meeting starts at 2pm in St Andrew’s Church Hall in Merton Road, Slough SL1 1QW. The meeting is open to both u3a members and non-members; we always welcome guests and potential members who are interested in our talks and activities.
The small car park at the rear of the church is available for those who have difficulties with mobility. Otherwise, we ask you to please park in one of the pay-and-display car parks nearby, or in Upton Court Park (free) about 10 minutes’ walk away.
